Sindh High Court suspended the permit of a controversial festival called Scrap Fest, which was scheduled to take place today in Karachi.
Reportedly, a petition was filed by some residents against the fest, which was scheduled to take place today in the Clifton area. According to the plea, such a festival is against the constitution as it will promote immoral activities in society.
An LGBTQ-based festival named Scrapfest was being held in Karachi. Scrapfest is a Canada-origin LGBTQ event which was being hosted by Canadian-Pakistani musician Urvah Khan. As to social media users, the event was very openly promoting the LGBTQ agenda.
Social media users strongly condemned the festival and also urged the government to put a ban on such events. A user felt disappointed that Pakistanis are busy with politics etc and unaware of how these westerners are successfully sponsoring such an agenda. Let’s have a look at the tweets:
