Karachi Electric (KE) announced Monday that it would undertake a “critical maintenance activity” in several areas of the port city due to which the affected places will witness hours-long electricity shutdown.
The sole power provider of the city said the areas that will be affected due to the maintenance tomorrow (Tuesday) include Orangi Town, Gadap, Airport II, and Queens Road Grid.
KE said the process is to “ensure the stability and reliability of power supply to the consumers residing in these areas”.
The activity requires a shutdown from 09:30am to 2pm for Orangi Town, 9am to 6pm Gadap, 10am to 6pm Airport II, and 9am to 6pm Queens Road, during which there may be temporary interruption of supply in the areas connected to the abovementioned grid.
