KARACHI: Sacrificial animals worth around Rs250,000 have been stolen in Manzoor Colony of Karachi.
According to police, six goats and three rams were stolen in the wee hours of Monday. Four men arrived at the scene in two cars and whisked away the sacrificial animals. CCTV footage available shows the men stealing the animals.
A case was launched at the Baloch Colony police station while an investigation was launched into the matter with efforts being made to trace the thieves.
In another reprehensive incident in Liaquatabad Town, a man hurled acid on a cow after a dispute erupted between two neighbours. The cow had been purchased for Eid-ul-Azha and was kept outside the man’s house.
The neighbour took revenge on a cow and threw acid after which the animal suffered severe burns. Police have booked a case on the complaint of cow owner and arrested the suspect who allegedly threw the acid.
