Commenting on the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Sunday that today was a sad day for the Muslim Ummah, Iran and Pakistan.
Speaking to the media, he said that every Pakistani was as shocked and grieved over the passing of Ayatollah as Iranians were.
“We all are with you,” he said, and appealed to the people not to take the law into their own hands and register their protest peacefully.
Fiqah-e-Jafaria Ulema Sheikh Agha Baqir and Syed Shahanshah al-Naqvi appealed to the people of Pakistan to remain calm and avoid taking part in any protest call to create a law and order situation.
In his appeal, Sheikh Agha Baqir urged people of Skardu and Baltistan to control their emotions and remain calm and cool.
He said that peaceful protest is our legal right and we should act as responsible citizens. He said that Pakistan is our motherland and its security is our topmost priority.
Sheikh Agha Baqir said that we will protest within our jurisdiction and will not take the law into our hands. He prayed for peace and stability in Pakistan.
He said Pakistan is currently suffering from unrest due to global, especially Zionist, conspiracies.
There are problems on the borders, and the clouds of terrorism are hovering over the country.
On the occasion of this martyrdom, one should express their devotion while keeping in mind the sorrow of Karbala.
