Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi has claimed that the Pakistan Railways is generating daily revenue at record levels not seen in the past 30 years.
In a video message, the minister stated that reforms implemented over the past eight months have led to a significant increase in daily income. Passenger and freight revenues have seen remarkable growth as a result of these reforms.
He added that, for the past 15 days, daily revenue has reached PKR 300 million.
Under the modernization and reform efforts, Pakistan Railways has been fully digitized across the country, putting the organization firmly on the path of progress.
Along with station upgrades, special attention is now being given to railway tracks.
Tracks from Nokundi to Rohri and from Rohri to Karachi are set to be improved very soon, with contracts already finalized.
The minister said that, by fully implementing the Prime Minister’s vision in the current fiscal year, all railway targets will be achieved, and all planned objectives are expected to be completed by December 31, 2026.
