Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s son, Junaid Safdar, is reportedly preparing for a second marriage following the finalization of a new match.
According to sources, his forthcoming bride is the granddaughter of senior PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar and the daughter of Ali Rohail Asghar, marking a union between two influential political families.
Insiders say PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and the broader Sharif family have given their approval, and a formal gathering between the two families has already taken place as part of the wedding preparations.
The wedding is expected to take place either in the last week of December or in January, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
This will be Junaid Safdar’s second marriage. He was previously married to Ayesha Saif, daughter of former NAB chairman and Qatar-based businessman Saifur Rahman Khan.
The couple divorced amicably in October 2023. Their first wedding took place in 2021 at The Lanesborough in London’s Knightsbridge during Nawaz Sharif’s exile.
