The body of Col (retd) Qazi Ishaq, who was swept away along with his daughter by the flood waters in DHA Islamabad, was recovered on Thursday, while the search for the deceased daughter continues.
Rescue workers were continuing their search for the third consecutive day on Thursday for the father and daughter, who were swept away by the flood waters in DHA, Islamabad.
A tragic incident occurred in DHA Islamabad Phase 5, Sector A, where Col (retd) Qazi Ishaq and his daughter were swept away along with their vehicle in a flooded seasonal stream on Tuesday.
The rescue authorities have been unable to recover the duo despite an extensive search for the past two days.
However, according to Rescue 1122, the car’s door and bonnet were recovered from beneath the Soan River bridge on Thursday morning. Later in the day, the body of the father was recovered near the Soan River.
Rescue teams are continuing the search operation to locate the missing daughter.
Three days ago, the vehicle was caught in a sudden surge of water, leaving father and daughter unable to escape from their car.
