ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan has termed the news of Prime Minister Imran Khan contracting the coronavirus as baseless.
The PTI Senator while clearing the air, posted a tweet in which he wrote, “News regarding PM Imran Khan tested positive for #Covid19 is NOT True. Please refrain from spreading Fake News.”

Earlier, an international TV channel accidentally ran news tickers in which it claimed that Imran Khan had been tested positive for the coronavirus.
The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan surged past 1300 today as new cases were reported in various areas of the country. The number of cases has reached 1,331 as almost 120 new cases were reported in different areas of Pakistan.
Punjab has overtaken Sindh in the number of coronavirus cases as almost 30 new cases were reported in the province. This brings the provincial tally to 448.
