KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend today (Thursday) with the benchmark KSE-100 index plunged by 1,105 points around noon.
PSX mostly witnessed bearish trend throughout the week, especially on Monday, when the KSEe-100 saw its biggest single-day decline in over a decade.
At 12:00 today (Thursday), the KS-100 plunged by 3.02 percent (1,104 points) and was trading at 36,567.61 points.
At start of trading day, the market suffered downfall of 753 points extending a prior negative trend.
The plunged of market was due to the trajectory of global financial markets after World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a ‘pandemic’ and United States suspended travel from Europe.
