LAHORE: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that political instability is causing economic instability in the country.
According to the details, Marriyum Aurangzeb while speaking at the press conference said that the elections could have been held when Imran Khan was in power, at that time he kept begging to save his government, she said.
Marriyum Aurangzeb alleged that Imran Khan tried to meet the Chief Election Commissioner through a backdoor, as he used to do with Javed Iqbal and the DG FIA when the Chief Election Commissioner refused to meet then they turned against them, she maintained.
Addressing the Election Commission, the minister asked them to take legal action against Imran Khan in response to his allegations and give a verdict on the foreign funding case soon.
She further said that Imran Khan wants disorder and chaos in the country and wants to destroy institutions. “They have been caught doing foreign funding and money laundering, Imran Khan sitting on the seat of power laid economic landmines, paralyzed institutions, weakened institutions, used institutions to target political revenge,” she said.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan wanted him to win all 20 seats, if this did not happen, he attacked the Election Commission, instead of fighting the no-confidence motion, Imran Khan attacked the Constitution, she asserted.
