KARACHI: Police have refused to arrest the suspect in a girl’s rape case, PTI Karachi chief Khurram Sher Zaman claims.
Khurram Sher Zaman has said that, police have refused to arrest the accused even after an eye witness has reported it to them. The incident took place a month ago in PECHS area Karachi. Moreover, PTI chief blames the negligence of the police who even denies the CCTV footage which also showed the suspect fleeing away after raping a girl. Khurram said, “It is unfortunate that rape incidents have been reported unabated in the city”.
Earlier, in Okara three suspects were arrested after allegedly raping an 18-year-old girl in Okara when she was travelling in a rickshaw. The rape case was registered on the complaint of an 18-year-old rape victim girl’s father Muhammad Mushtaque at PS Hujra.

Meanwhile, the increase in such cases shows the negligence of authorities to address the issue or bring the accused to punishments they deserve.
