PIAF initiates support for daily wagers in Lahore

LAHORE: The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has set upped a fund for welfare of daily wagers, who are the worst hit by coronavirus outbreak in the country.
In a press statement, PIAF Chairman Mian Nauman Kabir said the members initiated donating liberally and by the grace of God, an amount of Rs3 million is assembled in just a single day.
The statement further said after negotiations with other members of PIAF the decision was took the noble initiative to help the poor in their testing times.
The PIAF would carry on such initiative to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as it understands the government alone cannot handle with the challenge, the statement read.
The chairman said that the PIAF has always offer  its services at all testing times and credit goes to its members who gave utmost for the support of the deprived people in the country.
He said that trader community has to execute an astonishing role as the circumstances have become too serious to be handling by the government alone.
Currently, in the first phase this fund is established for Lahore specific labourers, the PIAF team will distribute ration in all industrial estates and major labour markets in the province.
