ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has asserted that Pakistan’s recovery from the coronavirus has stunned the world as the positivity rate continues to drop.
Taking to Twitter today (Tuesday), the Information Minister announced that Pakistan was receiving good news from all the sectors. “Pakistan’s recovery from the coronavirus has stunned the world. The positivity rate has dropped down to below 4% expect Karachi,” he added.

Talking about other developments, Fawad Chaudhry announced that Kuwait has started issuing work visas to Pakistanis after a ten-year-long suspension. “Salaried class to get big relief in the upcoming budget,” he announced.
The minister also vowed that Pakistan will continue to prosper in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan in the upcoming two years.
The decision to restore Kuwaiti visas for Pakistanis after about a decade-long suspension had been taken during a meeting between Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed.
Pakistan coronavirus situation
Pakistan today (Tuesday) reported less than 2,000 cases, with 1,771 new coronavirus infections as the positivity rate dropped to its lowest 3.71 percent during the third wave of the pandemic.
Pakistan reported almost 1,771 new coronavirus infections, for the first time in almost three weeks since May 14, taking the total tally to 922,824 across the country. Last time the country reported less than 2,000 cases was on May 14 with 1,534 cases.
According to National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), almost 71 people passed away due to the infection over the past 24 hours. The new fatalities have pushed the total number of deaths from the virus to 20,850.
