Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who rose to fame from ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, praised Pakistani dramas and actors.
The Haddi actor was talking to a German broadcasting organization where he described Pakistani writers as ‘fantastic’ and actors as ‘brilliant’. According to the Bollywood actor, the stories of Pakistani dramas are very good and their actors also act very well.
Pakistani dramas have a universal appeal that cuts across cultural divides and promotes a mutual respect for powerful narrative and creative expression. “Pakistani dramas are watched quite a lot in India,” shared Siddiqui. “The writing is exceptional and the actors are amazing,” he added.
The host asked the Indian actor about the famous role of Pakistani journalist Chand Nawab which he played in the film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, to which he said that he had practiced 100 times and then completed the shooting of the scene in one take.
Siddiqui also had the privilege of interacting with Chand Nawab during the shoot, where he expressed admiration for the reporter’s innocence, a quality seamlessly translated into his on-screen portrayal.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his work in films such as The Lunchbox, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sacred Games, and Gangs of Wasseypur, among others. He will be next seen in a bunch of projects including Noorani Chehra, Bole Chudiyan, and Sangeen, among others.
