ISLAMABAD: At least 95 more people have died in Pakistan due to the global coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths due to the virus across the country rose to 24,573.
According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 3,221 coronavirus cases were reported across the country in the last 24 hours. The total number of corona cases across the country reached 1,15,300.
According to the NCOC, 48,181 coronavirus tests were performed in the last 24 hours. During the last 24 hours, the rate of corona positive cases was 6.68 percent.
The number of cases of corona in Sindh is 413,379, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 153,134, in Punjab 373,718, in Islamabad 94,402, in Balochistan 31,632, in Azad Kashmir 29,593 and Gilgit-Baltistan has reached 9,442.

The highest number of deaths due to corona was in Punjab where 11,412 people lost their lives while 6,475 in Sindh, 4,679 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 837 in Islamabad, 166 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 335 in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. 669 people have lost their lives.
It may be recalled that an earlier PCR test facility was provided at all the airports of Pakistan. Passengers traveling abroad will be able to avail the facility of the PCR available at the airports.
Various airlines have reached an agreement this week by contacting passengers for PCR tests for travel abroad, under which various laboratories have started setting up special counters to facilitate PCR tests.
