ISLAMABAD: A total of 1,232 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while 43 more people have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 153,873 people were infected with coronavirus across the country while 30,096 people lost their lives to the virus.
In the last 24 hours, 41,744 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 26,216,305. The nationwide test result was 2.95 percent while 1,230 patients were in intensive care for the virus.
In the last 24 hours, coronavirus has been defeated by 3,154 people across the country, bringing the total number of healthy people to 1,49,515. The active cases of the virus are 64,262 while the death rate remains at 2 percent.

The highest number of coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh while deaths were reported in Punjab where 499,768 people fell victim to the virus while 13,471 died. In Sindh, 565,319 cases and 8,045 deaths were reported from coronavirus.
In different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 215,337 people fell victim to coronavirus while 6,226 died. In Balochistan, 35,294 cases of the virus were reported while 374 people lost their lives.
In Azad Kashmir, 42,754 people were infected with coronavirus and 784 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11,413 cases and 189 deaths were reported. In Islamabad, 133,988 people were infected with coronavirus and 1,007 died.
