ISLAMABAD: Around 526 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, while 5 more citizens have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the statistics released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 15,64,231 people have been affected by a coronavirus, while 30,542 have died due to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.
During the last 24 hours, 19,312 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of coronavirus, while the ratio of positive cases was 2.72 percent. The total number of tests was 2 crore 98,81,996 while 156 patients with coronavirus are in intensive care.

During the last 24 hours across the country, 411 patients have defeated coronavirus, which has brought the number of recovered people to 15,24,375, while active cases have remained at 9,314. Punjab and Sindh were the most affected by the virus.

In Sindh, 5,92,541 people were affected by coronavirus while 8,217 died. In Punjab, 5,18,752 citizens were affected while 13,594 lost their lives. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the third largest province affected by the virus.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,22,539 people were affected by coronavirus while 6,339 died. In Islamabad, 1,38,491 people were affected by coronavirus while 1,030 died. 4,443 coronavirus cases were reported in Azad Kashmir.
793 people died due to virus in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In Balochistan, 35,899 citizens have been affected by coronavirus while 378 have lost their lives. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11,966 people have been affected by coronavirus while 191 have died.
