ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Hammad Azhar has expressed gratitude to Japan for providing Pakistan $2 million to combat COVID-19.
Hammad Azhar took to twitter and appreciated the Japenese government by saying Pakistan had been allocated a fund of Rs2.5 billion for health projects.
We are grateful to the Japanese government for providing $ 2 million in grant assistance through UNICEF and IOM to Pakistan for dealing with Covid-19.

The minister also appreciated the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and International Organization for Migration (IOM) for their assistance in this matter.
Earlier on Tuesday, Hammad Azhar asserted that the federal cabinet had approved economic relief package to counter the impact of ongoing crisis due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
He also announced that the government had finalized the strategy to reach the 12 million deserving families to provide them relief in the tough situation.
