Chehlum of Imam Hussain along with other Martyrs of Karbala is being observed across the country, today on Sunday, amid strict security.
According to sources, chief of Karachi police, Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon formed security plan to ensure safety across the city. Other parts of the country also follow tight security measures to prevent any unpleasant incident.
While speaking to media, IG Sindh also added that police and other law enforcing agencies will also be put on high alter throughout the day to keep the situation under control.

Policemen were also advised to conduct strict snap checking across metropolis, revealed IG Sindh.
It is pertinent to mention that the main mourning procession will be held in Nishtar Park and after marching its traditional route, it will end at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar area.
Earlier, a notification from Sindh Government was released banning pillion riding on the occasion of Chehlum.
