Pakistan has established its first-ever Crypto Grievance Cell, providing digital currency users with an official platform to report scams, fraud, and operational issues linked to virtual asset trading.
The initiative represents a major move toward regulating and securing crypto activities across the country, ensuring greater accountability and user protection.
With cryptocurrency adoption on the rise, the new system is designed to safeguard investors, curb financial fraud, and promote transparency in the growing digital finance space.
The complaint cell will verify and forward legitimate cases to specialized investigation units, enabling quicker action against fraudulent exchanges and misleading marketing practices.
The launch follows an increase in crypto-related frauds in Pakistan, including recent scams in Gujranwala involving fake trading platforms operating via WhatsApp.
Officials noted that the cell will not only assist victims in recovering losses but also help strengthen regulatory oversight and restore confidence in the digital asset ecosystem.
Citizens can complain at pvara.gov.pk/grievance-cell or email complaints@pvara.gov.pk.
