The Pakistan national cricket team will start their training camp ahead of the Test series against Australia at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi tomorrw (Thursday).
The players had reported the camp, whereas the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had given immunity to opener Imamul Haq and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf.
Mohammad Wasim and Hasan Ali will join the training camp on Friday.
Newly-appointed spin coach Saeed Ajmal resolved on Wednesday to polish the skills of young spinners.
Speaking exclusively on Samaa TV in Faisalabad, the former Test cricketer said: “I will try to meet the expectations of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) by working hard and utilising all my experience. But this will be a time-consuming process.”
He talked about the upcoming tour of the national team to Australia. “The spinners are less likely to succeed in Australian conditions,’’ he added.
Ajmal rallied behind Noman Ali and Abrar Ahmed, saying, “Noman Ali and Abrar Ahmed have been selected for the Australia tour and are performing well in the domestic circuit”.
