ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force has declared 27th February as a notable day in the country’s history as it marks a year of Pakistan shooting down two Indian jets.
Pakistan Air Force in this regard has organized the Aviation Arts Exhibition where a promo of the Shaheen of the Pakistan Air Force destroying two Indian aircraft will also be screened by the Public Air Relations Department.
Sculpture related to that day made by the young artists would also be featured in the Aviation Arts Exhibition of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts. There is the artwork of Captain Retired Hussaini, a famous aviation artist group too.
The exhibition, which is being launched by the National Air Force, will be open to the public on 28th to 29th February.
On 27th February last year, Pakistan carried shot down an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter aircraft and dropped bombs within the compounds of Indian military facilities in occupied Kashmir as a warning to India.
During that operation, the Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman was also arrested by the forces after his Mig-21 was shot down. The pilot was later handed over to Indian authorities as a goodwill gesture.
