KARACHI: On August 17, in Korangi Allah Wala Town, near Rashidiya Mosque, a 12-year-old boy Abdul Nafi was sexually assaulted by two men who the police have failed to nab.
The victim told MM News that he was going to offer his prayers at nearby mosque when two young men lured him with money and asked for help. The child belongs to a poor family and wanted to help his mother. He then willingly sat on their bike.
The accused took the child to a deserted place, tore his clothing, and sexually abused him. Afterwards, they threatened him with dire consequences if he made noise or told anyone.
The mother of the victim told MM News that when her son did not return after praying, she became worried. “I asked for help, and called my relatives, but could not find him. After that I called the police”, she added.
After the incident, the accused fled, leaving the child near the area. According to the child’s mother, when the child reached home, he was bleeding due to the sexual abuse.
The child’s mother said that she is raising her children alone as she is divorced. After this incident, her close relatives and brothers have stopped talking to her.
Speaking to MM News, the child’s mother started weeping and said that she also spoke to MPA Raja Azhar regarding the incident, but no notice was taken by him either.
She said that after the divorce, she saw a very difficult time, and brought up the children alone. Knowing her son has been sexually abused has disturbed her mentally, due to which her work is badly affected while there is no other earner in the family.
On the other hand, the investigation officer of the case, Musa said that the police is trying their best to arrest the accused, and in this regard, their sketches have also been made. He hoped that the accused will be apprehended soon. However, sixty days have passed and the little boy still awaits justice.
