ISLAMABAD: Federal Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar says that he is not in favor of the lifelong disqualification of politicians.
Talking to the media, Azam Nazir Tarar said that it is a moment of concern for those who made a mistake and disqualified the politicians for life. Politics involves rhetoric and repetition. For a better future, everyone has to show tolerance, he added.
On the other hand, in a conversation with the media, Chairman Standing Committee on Law and Justice Senator Ali Zafar said in a conversation with the media that disqualification has not been determined in Article 62-1-F, there is an interpretation of the Supreme Court. In my personal opinion, the duration of each sentence should be fixed.
The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that there is no problem in amending the law related to the disqualification of politicians, the period of disqualification should be determined like the rest of the provisions of the constitution.
Ali Zafar said that it seems that the federal government is bent on creating baseless cases, the disqualifications of the past will remain, they can be amended for the future.
