Lollywood actress Meera has welled up during a recent interview when asked about her marital status, sharing that no one had shown interest in marrying her.
Her heartfelt response quickly gained sympathy from netizens, who criticized the reporter for asking such insensitive questions.
The brief interview clip, which went viral on social media, shows a private TV anchor pressing Meera with personal queries. When asked about fellow actress Neelam Muneer’s recent marriage, the anchor inquired, “When do you plan to get married?”
After a short pause, Meera responded, “It’s just… regrettable.”

The anchor then followed up with, “Are you regretting Neelam Muneer’s marriage or the delay in your own?” Meera replied, “I regret the delay in my own marriage.”
Pressed further, she calmly stated, “I haven’t found anyone yet. No one wants to marry me. I don’t know why.”
Overwhelmed by the intrusive questions, Meera stood up and left, repeating, “No one wants to marry me.”
Outraged, many netizens criticized the journalist for his lack of sensitivity, with some even calling the questions inappropriate.
