Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah has firmly denied reports circulating about a possible lockdown in the province, stating that no such decision has been taken at present.
Speaking to the media, he expressed concern over the spread of unverified information and clarified that there are no plans to impose a lockdown in Sindh.
He added that following consultations with the business community and restaurant owners, differing opinions had emerged, and it was not feasible to implement every suggestion immediately.
The Chief Minister further noted that in a large city like Karachi, markets cannot be closed at varying times without a coordinated policy.
He said the federal government has been informed that any final decision will only be made after consultation with all stakeholders.
Murad Ali Shah concluded that the provincial government will now engage with the federal authorities, taking into account the views of traders, before deciding on any future course of action.
