ISLAMABAD: Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem has said that there were no chances of the federal government allowing Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz to travel abroad.
Speaking to the media reporters in London, Farogh Naseem said that Maryam Nawaz has been convicted in the corruption cases, and the government would not allow the her to leave the country.
Naseem further said that the federal government would move the case to the Supreme Court in case Maryam receives permission from the Lahore High Court.
He also claimed that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, uncle of Maryam,was staying in London on the orders of the LHC.
On 20th January, Maryam submitted a plea in LHC seeking permission to travel abroad. Maryam’s family including her brothers have already been staying at their London residence to look after Nawaz Sharif.
Nawaz Sharif has been staying in London for his medical treatment. He was granted further exemption in bail by the accountability court for 14 days in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
