WELLINGTON: New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced she will quit as New Zealand prime minister next month.
According to details, the Prime Minister of New Zealand announced her resignation at the annual meeting of the ruling political party where she said that she no longer has “enough in the tank” to lead. “I was considering over the summer whether I should keep the position of Prime Minister, but the answer came back in the negative,” she said.
During the meeting, the 42-year-old female prime minister Jacinda Ardern said that under such circumstances, continuing to serve as the prime minister is likely to be harmful to New Zealand’s national interests. “I have decided not to hold re-election,” she maintained.
