KARACHI: A campaign has been launched seeking justice for Jazlan Faisal Sabir, a 19-year-old boy, who was allegedly shot dead in Bahria Town Karachi over a minor dispute.
The incident occurred on 24th May when the teenager was killed by four youngsters after over an argument. Jazlan’s friend Shah Mir Ali was severely injured and is in recovery after two surgeries.
Social media users have expressed outrage over the cold-blood murder and revenge killing which reminiscences the killing of 2012 murder of Shahzeb Khan by Shahrukh Jatoi and his aides.
Twitter has been trending with #JusticeForJazlan after the incident was reported urging authorities to take action and arrest the culprits.

According to reports, Jazlan Faisal Sabir and Shah Mir Ali, along with some other friends, were travelling in Bahria Town Karachi for a group study session when they came across an underage biker performing dangerous stunts and almost had an accident with him.
Jazlan Faisal rolled down the car window and asked the underage rider to stop driving his motorcycle in a dangerous way. The young rider started hurling abuses which resulted in exchange of hot words between them.
The biker proceeded to call his brothers. Jazlan and Shah Mir drove away but noticed that they were being followed by the motorcyclist and some others in a car.
Upon reaching Bahria Town’s Eiffel Tower, the suspects travelling in the car overtook their vehicle and opened fire on them. As a result, Jazlan Faisal Sabir was shot in the head, while Shah Mir Ali sustained was severely wounded.
They were rushed to hospital where Jazlan died during treatment. Shah Mir Ali survived after two surgeries and is currently in recovery.
A First Information Report (FIR) was been registered against four people, including Hasnain Faiz and three brothers (Mohammed Ihsan alias Ahsan, Mohammed Irfan and Mohammed Hasnain), under Section 302, 324, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the victim’s uncle, Arif Sabir.
According to the police, Hasnain Faiz has been arrested while raids are being carried out to arrest the remaining three suspects. Malir SSP (Investigation) Arab Mahar said that all suspects were teenagers and didn’t possess license for the pistol.
