NAB amendment case to be heard in SC today

ISLAMABAD: A 5-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear the NAB Ordinance 1999 amendment case again today.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa will head the five-member bench, which includes Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandukhel, Justice Athar Minullah and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi.

Imprisoned founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Imran Khan has filed an application in the Supreme Court to appear in his personal capacity in connection with the NAB Ordinance 1999 amendment case.

The former prime minister has written a letter to Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa requesting permission to appear in personal capacity at the upcoming hearing.

Imran Khan has signed the petition and given it to the Adiala Jail administration to submit it to the Supreme Court.

During the last hearing on May 17, the court issued orders to present the PTI founder through video link at the next hearing on May 30. During the proceedings on May 17, the PTI founder had an opportunity to present his arguments. Not Found.

It may be recalled that the founder of PTI had challenged the amendments made by the PDM government in the National Accountability Ordinance 1999.
