KARACHI: The price of LPG has been dropped from Rs 250 to Rs 180 per kg in the battle of the LPG mafia.
The price of LPG fell by Rs 60 to Rs 70 due to the clash between LPG locals and importers. As soon as 3 ships of imported LPG arrived at Karachi port, OGDCL reduced the cost of production, after which people started getting cheap LPG due to the fight against the LPG mafia.
Another ship of LPG will reach Pakistan in two to three days, once the ship arrives, the price of LPG is likely to decrease further.
OGRA had fixed the price of LPG at Rs 238 but the mafia was selling at Rs 240 to 250 per kg. OGDCL reduced the price to reward only a few people OGDCL reduced the production price of LPG by 32,000 metric tons, and the production price of LPG by 1,62,000. The metric ton decreased to 1 lakh 30,000.
All LPG storages are filled with LPG, further reduction in LPG price is expected next week.
