Imran Khan has the honour of being the first certified honest and trustworthy Prime Minister in the history of Pakistan. Many parties brought in their prime minister but PTI chief Imran Khan is the only Prime Minister who has been certified as Sadiq (truthful) and Ameen (honest) by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Imran Khan has won many other feathers in his cap, including winning the first Cricket World Cup for Pakistan and building the first cancer hospital in the country. Besides, he is the only person who is known to be not corrupt and does not lie, yet I do not know why envious people call my Kaptaan the most lying and the most person in history.
Before coming to power, Imran Khan said he will rather choose to die but will never beg for loans. “I will commit suicide if I ask for money from the world,” he once thundered in front of the crowds. But hasn’t he borrowed more than ever before in 70 years and indebted the nation. Hasn’t he left any national or international forum where he has not reached out promising people to do so much for their nation?
Let’s assume that today the people are going through the worst of inflation and unemployment, but my captain did the right thing for the people to borrow. Now it is a different matter where the loans went. Now the helpless captain asks for loans or even spends the money on the people. What should my Kaptaan do??
My Kaptaan struggled for 22 years and always opposed the inclusion of influential electable in his team. History has shown that my captain attacked his opponents in such a way that neither the PPP nor the PML-N left any place vacant in his party. This is how the government formed was formed. Still we are told that the captain should be good, it does not matter about the rest of the team.
According to a recent report by Transparency International, corruption in Pakistan has further increased. Pakistan ranked 140th out of 180 countries, while last year Pakistan CPI was ranked 124th. The report revealed that rule of law and the absence of state grip have led to a significant decline in Pakistan’s score. Keep in mind that under the PTI government, Pakistan’s score is declining every year. In 2019, it dropped to 120th, in 2020 to 124th, and in 2021 to 140th.
Yet, my Kaptaan and his team are giving explanations that Transparency International itself has emerged as the most corrupt organization. How should we wrap our heads across it? My Kaptaan has amassed a big team just to raise accusations and silence his opponents. He certainly does need to do anything. Admittedly, my captain used to call the government corrupt during Nawaz Sharif’s era. He once famously said that if the prime minister was honest, no one would dare to commit corruption. What does the honest and trustworthy prime minister say now? Surely this is not the case now.
