LAHORE: Visibility has been severely affected due to heavy fog in different cities of the country. Motorways have been closed at several places in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the details, the severity of cold is increasing with the passage of time. Due to the increase in fog, the visibility was reduced to less than 300 meters in some cities.
Due to heavy fog and low visibility, Motorway M1 from Peshawar to Rashkai and Motorway M2 from Lahore to Sheikhupura are closed for all types of traffic. Motorway police have advised citizens not to leave their homes unnecessarily and to use fog lights while traveling in case of emergency.
It may be recalled that even before this, severe cold and heavy fog prevailed in different cities of the country. Motorways were closed for traffic at several places.
Last month, visibility was severely affected by the haze in various cities of Pakistan. Motorway M5 from Dhorkot to Raknpur was closed.
