Indian journalist Arnab Goswami is no stranger to controversies and is known for his hyper-sensationalist reporting and lack of concerns for media ethics. But the recent leaked conversation probably shows that he had bitten more than he could chew and has exposed India’s nefarious designs.
India blamed the Pulwama attack in occupied Kashmir on Pakistan without evidence which was followed by a purported false flag operation in Balakot even though it merely destroyed a few trees. The fascist Modi government raised the war hysteria by a targeted campaign against Pakistan to divert attention from internal issues and gains votes in local elections. India faced another embarrassing situation on Feb 26, 2019, when its jets was downed over our territory and a pilot was captured alive before the situation was diffused.
Although Pakistan was prepared for any so-called strike, the revelations by the Indian journalist, who is known for warmongering against Pakistan, had exposed India’s sinister plans. Just days before the attack, the journalist was reportedly celebrating the attack as it would be a ratings boost for his channel and hinted that ‘something big’ is about to attack. The revelation is so mind-boggling that even India’s politicians are demanding a probe into the leaked conversation.
India has been facing multiple embarrassments recently in the campaign against Pakistan particularly after the annexation of Kashmir as it attempts to conceal its atrocities. Pakistan submitted a detailed dossier about Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Balochistan and other parts of the country. Then, the EU DisinfoLab exposed a vast network of fake Indian entities involved in a smear campaign against Pakistan. These have been made of the recent successes by Pakistan as it exposed Indian involvement in subversive activities.
Arnab Goswami’s revelations have exposed an unholy nexus between the Modi government and the Indian media. Many journalists like Goswami have pandered to the BJP and spread the hate-driven agenda on media which has wreaked havoc and eroded secular harmony. The rise of Modi is not due to Hindutva politics but the support it had received from the media.
India has reached a point of no-return as its ideology has crept across the country. India is now a divided country where minorities are unsafe and the media fails to take the government to task despite the claims of media freedom. It is imperative that Indian society and the world realizes this nexus and is not swayed away before it is too late.
