ISLAMABAD: A fresh legal move has been made concerning the health of Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, who was convicted in the £190 million case.
A new petition has been filed in court seeking medical treatment for Bushra Bibi’s reported eye condition and the submission of her complete medical report by the Adiala Jail administration.
The petition, filed through Barrister Salman Safdar, states that Bushra Bibi is currently experiencing serious vision-related problems, with her eyesight reportedly deteriorating rapidly.
The petitioner has requested the High Court to direct the Adiala Jail administration to immediately submit her complete medical report before the court.
The petition further states that the petitioner is willing to bear all expenses related to Bushra Bibi’s treatment. It seeks permission for her to undergo an immediate examination and receive treatment from a qualified eye specialist at her own expense.
It is pertinent to mention that Imran Khan had expressed serious concern over Bushra Bibi’s reported eye condition, including conjunctivitis or other vision-related problems, during a meeting at Adiala Jail a few days ago.
During the same meeting, Imran Khan reportedly instructed his legal team to approach the courts without delay and seek relief regarding her medical condition.
