Then on November 15, 2021, he wrote a column entitled “Resistance, Reconciliation and Hypocrisy”. Clearly written in this column.
“The N-League is pretending that it has set up two camps called Resistance Group and Reconciliation Group. It is believed that one group believes in resistance and the other in reconciliation. The biggest proof of this is that there is no one in the resistance group except Nawaz Sharif and his daughter. Have we seen any third leader of the N-League making aggressive speeches? Khawaja Asif, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Ahsan Iqbal, Khurram Dastgir, and even Maryam Nawaz’s mentor Pervez Rashid has given any father-daughter style speech till date? By placing 95% of the PML-N in the reconciliation group, Nawaz Sharif has saved them from the “unacceptable” category. In such a situation, the question becomes very important that if N-League has really become anti-establishment then why the entire leadership of this party is not in anti-establishment mode? Consider that this party has not held a single public meeting in the last two years where its entire leadership has had to give speeches and these meetings have been held in honor of the vote.”
However, there was goodwill in the recent appointment of a new DG ISI. While the incumbent Prime Minister is standing against the Establishment, the N-League is putting its weight behind the Establishment. Najam Sethi is in London. Since his meeting with Nawaz Sharif, he has been constantly claiming that the PML-N has decided that it will no longer target the Establishment, but will turn all its guns on Imran Khan. Does anyone remember what Nawaz Sharif and his daughter said in the PDM meeting exactly one year ago today? That we have no fight with Imran Khan, our fight is with those who brought him, Imran Khan has no status. And that is what is called “resistance.” Now, after a year’s journey, how did Imran Khan suddenly become “important”? So important that Nawaz Sharif decided that now we will not say anything to the Establishment, we will fire all our guns on Imran Khan. This is the worst kind of opportunism and hypocrisy.
As soon as Nawaz Sharif saw that the establishment was in dire straits. With the possibility of the removal of the Army Chief by the Prime Minister, it was decided to turn all the guns on Imran Khan in this critical situation. And watch the spectacle that Patwari analysts are wholeheartedly calling this hypocrisy a “victory of resistance”. While the fact is that Imran Khan has snatched the resistance card from Nawaz Sharif. At the moment Imran Khan is resisting. Nawaz Sharif is putting one foot in the tent of Establishment and asking “Can I come in, sir?”
This current hybrid system has erased all the impressions of the past in Pakistani politics. And it has become clear that even Nawaz Sharif, who plays the role of honoring the vote, can neither run the most unpopular government in history like Imran Khan on his own nor come to power without the umbrella of the Establishment. Therefore, their competition is now with the PPP which has made all the preparations to take the place of the N-League in the women’s ward of the Establishment. And the PPP is beginning to feel the pressure. Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira, the failed leader of PPP Punjab, expressed this two days ago by saying that N-League should clarify whether it wants to resist or reconcile? Consider that Kaira is not asking the resistance, who is it against? Asking for reconciliation. Because tension is not resistance, it is the possibility of reconciliation. In this situation, Patwari analysts enthusiastically sell the resistance thief saying that the results of the resistance are about to appear. We will not let these thieves escape, because we have understood that there was no resistance or reconciliation, just sheer hypocrisy. “
Isn’t it clear from these quotations that N-League was ready to go to any lengths to please the Establishment? The “Khadim-e-Ala” from his ranks, as the Prime Minister, has been known for 30 years as the most trusted and beloved politician of Gate Number Four. But what is noteworthy is that the Establishment itself had given this option to the PML-N before the 2018 elections that we are not the N-League but only have a program to oust Nawaz Sharif. If Mian Nawaz Sharif goes abroad for some time, he will accept Shehbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister by making the 2018 elections transparent. If Nawaz Sharif did not agree, the Establishment had to bring RTS and bring Imran Khan. So the question is, if in 2022 you had to come and accept what the Establishment was offering in 2018, then why was it considered necessary to eat a hundred onions and a hundred shoes in the name of this resistance drama? If this condition had been accepted then, would ordinary citizens be in the throes of economic crisis today? Can “Miaun Sahib” explain to us that if we had to bow down then why didn’t we bow down on time?
