KARACHI: The medico-legal report has confirmed that the flood-affected girl was gang-raped in Karachi’s Clifton.
On Sunday, October 23, a flood-affected minor girl was abducted and gang-raped within the limits of Boat Basin police station in Clifton, Karachi.
As per the registered first information report (FIR), two unidentified suspects are involved in the kidnapping and rape of the victim.
According to details, on Sunday, at around 11am, two unidentified suspects forcibly took the 10-year-old girl into their car and subjected her to gang rape.
Later, the suspects left the girl in the area from where they had picked her at around 2:30pm.
The girl’s mother rushed her to Jinnah Hospital, where she is still under observation and treatment. After the medical examination, a police surgeon confirmed that the girl had been sexually assaulted.
The medical report has now confirmed that multiple culprits sexually assaulted her.
The police officials said, the victim told the police in her initial statement that she was assaulted by two unknown persons.
The police also registered a case against the suspects under Sections 34/376 and 364A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the basis of the victim’s statement.
The victim belongs to Shikarpur and had moved to Karachi along with her mother and other siblings during floods.
She was living on the footpath in Clifton Shah Rasool Colony. The police have started an investigation in the light of the evidence and initial statement of the victim.
