Famous Pakistani actress Mawra Hussain’s 2016 Indian film “Sanam Teri Kasam” has set several new records after its re-release.
As per media reports, Mawra Hussain’s first Indian film has been re-released in cinemas after its popularity on OTT platforms, where it has done record business.
According to Indian media reports, 88,000 tickets were sold on the first day of the re-release of “Sanam Teri Kasam”, which is even more than its original release. The film did a business of 1.55 crore Indian rupees on its opening day, while on the first day of its original release in 2016, the film could only do a business of 1 crore Indian rupees.
In online advance bookings, “Sanam Teri Qasam” has surpassed Ranbir Kapoor’s “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani” with online advance ticket sales exceeding 111,000, which is 168% more than “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani”, which had advance ticket sales of just 40,000.
Mawra Hussain recently married her long-time friend and co-actor Amir Gilani.
Mawra Hussain and Amir Gilani have worked together in dramas like Sabaat and Neem, in which the on-screen chemistry of these two artists was very much liked by the fans.
