A shocking and deeply tragic incident has taken place in Shadiwal, a peaceful area of Gujrat, where prominent religious scholar Maulana Talha Rizvi was allegedly killed in a brutal shooting.
According to police sources, Maulana Talha Rizvi was reciting the Holy Quran peacefully inside his madrasa when unidentified armed men suddenly arrived and opened indiscriminate fire. He sustained critical injuries in the attack.
He was immediately rushed to a hospital in critical condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Following the incident, police launched an investigation and registered a formal case into the killing of the religious scholar.
Police officials said a comprehensive investigation is underway to arrest the suspects. All aspects of the incident are being examined, and law enforcement agencies are making every possible effort to bring those responsible to justice.
The killing has caused fear and concern in the area, while residents and religious scholars have strongly demanded the immediate arrest of the suspects and the harshest possible punishment for those responsible.
