Maryam Nawaz to be presented in court today in Sugar Mills case

Lifting Maryam’s name from ECL: Federal cabinet summoned today
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and her cousin Yousaf Abbas will be presented today before an accountability court in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
Both will be presented before the accountability court as their remand expired today. Maryam and Abbas were handed over to NAB 18th September on a week-long physical remand.
Strict security measures have been made to avoid any untoward scene in the judicial complex upon the court appearance.
On previous hearing, NAB appealed the court to grant an extension of 15 days in their physical remand but was granted a seven-day extension instead.
Earlier the last hearing of the case was adjourned for a while as workers of the PML-N had forcibly entered the Judicial complex and the courtroom to meet their leader. The PML-N workers continued to chant slogans in the courtroom despite several warnings by the judge.
