KARACHI: It has been revealed that an official of the local government department is allegedly issuing government orders without the approval of the Secretary Local Government Najam Shah.
According to details, section officer Khaliq-ur-Rehman is allegedly issuing government orders for illegal promotions, including appointments, postings, and upgrades, without approval.
Sources have informed that former Local Government Secretary Roshan Ali Sheikh is allegedly patronizing section officer Khaliq-ur-Rehman. Sources further informed that Khaliq-ur-Rehman is also receiving Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh in exchange for issuing government orders.
It is worth mentioning here that the local government’s officials cannot issues government orders without the approval of Secretary Local Government or higher authorities.
Meanwhile, the officers of Central District have submitted written complaints against Khaliq-ur-Rehamn to the Secretary Local Government Sindh and the Secretary Board, Chief Secretary Anti-Corruption, and other agencies.
The officers have demanded action against Khaliq-ur-Rehman’s illegal activities. Relevant sources claimed that Khaliq-ur-Rehman is himself a researcher and has been illegally posted at the post of Section Officer Five against the court orders.
