Punjab govt constitutes four member body to decide Nawaz's stay

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) reserved the verdict regarding the bail petition of Pakistan Muslime League Nawaz (PML-N), today on Friday.
According to sources, the court reserved the verdict after the principle and head of Medical Board of Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Dr. Mahmood Ayaz submitted the required medical reports of PML-N supremo.
Justice Ali Baqar Najafi conducted the court hearing where Shehbaz Sharif was also present.
Earlier, a petition was filed by PML-N president, Shehbaz Sharif to seek bail for party supremo, Nawaz Sharif in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. The court had asked to submit fresh medical reports of Nawaz Sharif today.

Principle and head of Medical Board, Dr. Mahmood Ayaz appeared before LHC and revealed details regarding the health of PML-N leader. He said that the former premier is suffering from diabetes and he has gout, liver and heart diseaes as well.
The medical tests are also conducted at 11:00 am daily, added Dr. Mahmood.
He said, the six member medical board which was formed to conduct thorough examination daily at 09:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 04:00 pm also included Nawaz Sharif’s personal doctor.

Dr. Mahmood also added that Platelets are not stable and are being destroyed due to some underlying disorder. The disease has not completely diagnosed yet. Therefore, the team is aiming to stop his medication.
Later, the court maintained that the fresh medical reports of Nawaz Sharif are important.

Earlier, the medical experts were not satisfied with the reports of former Prime Minister and insisted that he should be shifted abroad regarding treatment.
The team of British medical experts also recommended to conduct tests to detect the reason behind Nawaz Sharif declining platelet level.
