At least four people, including women, have been killed in a landslide on a passenger bus in Lower Kohistan.
According to details, the tragic incident took place at Pattan on Karakoram Highway where a passenger bus was hit by a landslide. Authorities stated that four people were killed and eight were injured in the landslide and a woman was among the dead.
According to a police statement, the passenger bus was traveling from Rawalpindi to Gilgit when the tragic accident took place. The dead and injured are being shifted to hospitals. Earlier, a vehicle carrying 31 passengers fell into a drain in Kandia Tehsil of Upper Kohistan due to a broken bridge, killing 26 people and injuring two others.

The bus was on its way to Kamala from the Barigogan area of Kohistan district of Hazara division two years ago. According to Chief Warden Civil Defense Ehsan ul Haq, rescue teams rushed to the spot and started rescue operations as soon as the accident was reported in the Kandia from Bagru.
On the other hand, the locals started saving their lives with their help as soon as the accident took place and five people were rescued while the death of the rest was confirmed by the administration.
