MANSEHRA: Mansehra Police claimed to have apprehended the key accused a seminary teacher in connection with the rape case of a minor child.
According to police sources, the prime suspect, Qari Shamsuddin was nabbed during a raid. The police earlier arrested four suspected accomplices, including, Shamsuddin’s brother.
The police said the medical report of the child has established that he was raped and subjected to torture several times. The medical report further stated that the child had received severe injuries on his elbows, face and eyes.
However, the other staff of seminary differs the allegation on its other staff members. They said another boy same name with Shamsuddin was involved in the incident.
The staff denied any information about rape but said that the teacher had been intentionally blamed due to similar names. The administration also claimed that the teacher had surrendered to the police himself.
The local authorities had sealed the seminary after the incident. Referring to the incident Deputy Inspector General of Mansehra police said the seminary being run by the absconder cleric, adding that it has been potted. The seminary, which was unregistered and being illicitly run, housed 120 seminary students.
