The federal government has announced an increase in petroleum prices across Pakistan following a rise in international crude oil prices.

The government said the impact of higher global oil prices will be passed on to consumers through revised fuel rates.

Under the new notification, petrol has been increased by Rs13.18 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs13.80 per litre.

The government stated that the revision was made in line with the increase in global crude oil prices.

The new fuel prices have come into effect immediately and are expected to increase transportation costs as well as the prices of various goods and services across the country.
