K-Electric (KE) has announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown that will affect electricity supply in several areas of Karachi on July 8, 2026, as part of its routine maintenance activities aimed at improving the reliability of the power distribution network.
According to the utility’s maintenance schedule, power supply will remain suspended on multiple feeders at different times throughout the day, with most outages beginning between 7:00 am and 9:59 am and continuing until 4:59 pm to 6:30 pm, depending on the respective feeder.
The feeders included in the maintenance plan are Al-Ghori, Ali Doulat, Al-Noor Society, Baba Wilayat, Barkat Market, Defence-30, Fabric Industry, Hingorabad, Hussaini RMU, Ittehad Cottage Industry, Jama Cloth RMU, KDA Employee Society, KDA Overseas Bungalows, Khalid Pumping, Khan Brothers, KMC Water Pump, Lassi RMU, Liberty Cinema, Medico RMU, Moin Khan Academy, Murtaza Commercial SS-1, Naz Ice, Nazia Square, Quetta Town RMU, Rabbi Apartment, S.M. Obaid, Shalimar ICE, Shrin Jinnah, and Surjani Telephone Exchange.

K-Electric has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan their daily activities accordingly and has stated that the temporary shutdown is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance work and enhance the overall performance and stability of the electricity distribution system.
