Karachi’s best mouth-watering ‘jalebis’

Have you heard the sizzle of a jalebi? It is the most beautiful sound in the world. It is a spiral-shaped snack crispy from the outside and juicy from the inner sweet made of gram flour and sugar syrup.

Here is our list of Karachi’s best shops where mouth-watering jalebis are sold:

1) Shaukat Dairies

Running since 1990, Shaukat Dairies serves the crunchy jalebis with milk called ‘doodh jalebi‘ which is also popular in the winters. It is mostly served with room temperature milk. The shop sells the sweet dish at Rs. 60 only per 250 grams.

2) Ashiq Sweets

Founded in 1948, Ashiq Sweets has the best jalebi and malpura in town. The owner of the shop shared how jalebis are made more delicious in khameer aata. What adds to its mouth-watering taste is the sheera (syrup typically made from sugar). 

The sweet shop starts serving the jalebis from 12 noon until 9 pm every day. The hot crispy jalebis are sold at Rs. 220 per kg.

3) Rizwan Sweets

Selling jalebis since the past 50 years, Rizwan bakers is famous for its warm crispy jalebis which are cooked on a medium flame until it gets crispy.

The right balance is important. The sweet shops sells it at Rs.240 per kg and Rs.60 per pao.
