KARACHI: Authorities have issued a alert regarding the expected disruption in Karachi traffic on the occasion of 1st Muharram (17 June 2026), as a religious procession will be taken out in the city.
According to traffic police, the procession will begin from Lasbela Chowk and conclude at Tibet Center. Due to security arrangements, several major roads will remain partially or fully closed from 3 PM to 7 PM, leading to significant disruption in Karachi traffic.
Officials have advised citizens to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

- From Lasbela towards Garden and Guru Mandir area
- From Numaish Chowrangi towards Tibet Center route
Traffic police said that Karachi traffic flow will remain affected at multiple points during the procession hours. Citizens have been urged to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternate routes to manage congestion.
Authorities have also warned that movement in surrounding areas may remain slow due to security and crowd management measures.
