KARACHI: The police on Saturday arrested three criminals of a gang, involved in more than 100 incidents of robberies in the metropolises, from Bilal Colony area of the port city.
The action was taken against the arrested criminal on technical basis and with the help of CCTV footages. They are identified as Khadim alias Langra, Azam Commando and Naeem Bakik. Langra is the head of the gang. As per police the arrested outlaws have admitted committing of more than 100 street crimes including looting of shops on gun point.
Langra used to come from Khairpur to Karachi for dacoities. According to police the gang rented a house in Bilal Colony from where they were operating their network. “The arrested criminal used to consume alcohol before going out for street crimes and during the robberies they also use to shoot the victims,” the police added.
As per police the accused had also arrested several times before. The police have recovered more than 20 snatched mobile phone sets, 4 TT pistols, 30 bore load magazine, 15 bullets, Rs. 12,000 cash and a motorcycle from the accused and initiated further investigation after lodging cases against them.
