A two-year-old boy Azaan Ali abducted from a private housing society in Karachi’s Manghopir area has been found safe, but his uncle has claimed that the child was not recovered by police and was located through the family’s own efforts.
As per Times of Karachi, Azaan’s uncle said the child was found after a family friend informed them that he had received information about the boy’s presence in Gharo.
“My friend called me from Gharo and told me that he had been informed the child was there. He asked me to reach the location with police personnel,” the uncle said.
He added that the family travelled towards Gharo along with police officials, but during the journey they received a call from a hotel owner in the area.
The owner confirmed that the child had been staying at the hotel since the previous night after two people left him there.
The hotel owner reportedly told the family, “If this is your child, you can take him from here.”
Earlier, the child’s father, Abdul Wahab, confirmed that his son Azaan had been found safe in Gharo. The toddler was allegedly kidnapped from a private housing society in Manghopir, following which police launched a search operation.
